I love the book’s narrative, as every character has a voice that is very difficult to find in the contemporary and opinionated era. In Saraswati Chandra’s Devdas, characters suffer from societal prejudices and conflicts. However, Aayush Gupta leaps and fills the gap in this book and shows the characters’ internal conflict with their beliefs, identity, and morals instilled from birth.
